The Job:

  • Middle-person between Customers and Design/Development

Responsibilities:

  • Create and shepherd all documentation facing the customer for application platform that is web-based.
  • Actions will be as a customer advocate. Work with developers and designers for to continue to modify or refine the product. Will give end-user guidance where needed.
  • On the product blog, will be the moderator, participate in dialog, and contribute product focused articles, blog.
  • Create instructional material, including training videos.
  • Interface and cooperate with customer service team. Support training partner by providing subject matter support.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to convey abstract concepts to people who are not technical.
  • Write clearly and simply, conveying to users exactly what they need to know.
  • Know the software development process and interfaces well with developers, support, QA, product managers, sales and marketing staff.
  • Five (5) plus years of information design experience and (in an ideal world) at least two (2) years of information design for a significant web app.
  • Influence team to create a “buzz” around the ability to achieve stated goals, negotiate resolutions, build consensus, and build respect from other team members.
  • Knowledgeable in web information design with experience in Camtasia (or similar video software), Robohelp, Javascript and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiar w/ database (DB) concepts and software. Product experience and familiarity with Flex is a big plus!

US / MA / BOSTON / SR FLEX SW ENGINEER

Title:

  • Senior Flex Software Engineer

The Job:

  • Interactive browser application development.
  • “Answer-type” person in Flex, JavaScript, Ajax, debug Internet Explorer (IE) and Firefox incompatibility issues.
  • Guru-ship level abilities in UIF / UI / User Interface, team collaboration

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Rich Internet Applications (RIA)
  • Help deliver features and functionality for core product
  • Collaborate with User Interface designers to come up with innovative new designs to challenging business problems.
  • Engage directly with product managers, web designers, architects and customers to verify that requirements are clear.
  • Engage with third-party developers creating product powered solutions in Flex and other technologies on the developer network.
  • Use judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints and technological realities. Includes comparing and prioritizing alternative engineering approaches to meeting requirements in a way that allows for future growth, supportability and maintainability.
  • Develop plans for delivery of functionality by building high-level architectures and designs. This includes contributing to developing project estimates, building Quality Assurance test and documentation plans.
  • Deliver features with appropriate levels of quality, and working directly with others to ensure deliverables meet customer functionality and quality expectations.
  • Build and maintaining effective working relationships across business functions.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Five (5) plus years of development of web based products.
  • Flex development experience
  • Verifiable ability to develop rich user interfaces in a browser in Flex, as well as AJAX, Javascript, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with: C++, JavaScript, HTML, IIS, XML DOMs.
  • Must understand relational databases and data modeling (1-to-many / many-to-many relationships, normalization, etc), and how to apply to common business problems.
  • Must be able to build and debug client side applications delivered as HTML pages using the following technologies: DHTML, JavaScript, XML, XPath, AJAX
  • Should be able to manipulate XML DOMs in VB, VB.Net and Java environments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including communicating tactical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work internally, across developer, quality assurance, documentation and customer support teams
  • Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions and garner respect from other team members.

The Job:
